I visited a carpet factory near Kathmandu yesterday, and took this photo.I know no kids work there, and in some jobs I think it's fine to have a baby with you at work... but if the child is capable or allowed to wonder around (and eat bits of carpet), something needs changing urgently.
Nepal is one of my favourite countries and I wanted to have some rugs made here, but not in this factory - or any others where this is going on.
This factory has the Rugmark, like most that I have visited.
